We think FLB is a pretty special place to work and train. But you don’t just need to take our word for it…
Back in 2011, I started my journey with FLB as a trainee accountant having just completed my A-Levels. From day one I have been encouraged and supported in both my professional qualifications and job progression obtaining AAT qualification in 2014 and Chartered Accountant status in 2017. It has been a great journey with opportunities to develop my skills in people management, leadership, communication and decision making. I have progressed through various management roles within FLB, and am now accountable for full client delivery across all areas of the business.
Having worked in the accounting industry for two and a half years I was looking for a new challenge to further my career. After being offered roles in top twenty firms I decided to choose FLB as I did not want to be another number in a big firm. Within one week of starting I knew I had made the right decision and was warmly welcomed to the team. FLB is encouraging me to continuously take on more responsibility in order for me to further my career and learn on a daily basis. I am now finalising my studies at AAT level 4 prior to progressing to ACA
Unlike with bigger firms where you’re working as a small cog in a massive machine, a career at FLB means having a real impact. I’ve been able to progress my career and had the chance to complete my ATT qualification as part of the ATT/CTA tax pathway, where I am now studying towards my CTA qualification. I would say that the opportunities at FLB to grow professionally are excellent. When I was invited for an interview at FLB I was made to feel very welcome – I’m really glad that they offered me the job.
