flb appoints Senior Account Director

flb, the Cheltenham-based branding and packaging agency, has hired Jo Handford into the newly created role of Senior Account Director.

Reporting to Managing Director Guy Douglass, her role will include managing a large client portfolio including ASDA, Kenwood and Cow and Gate, and developing business with flb’s marketing team.

She started her career at Talisman as Production Manager before moving to Cadbury Trebor Bassett as Assistant Brand Manager.  She spent 6 years at FOUR brand comms where she worked initially as Senior Account Manager and Business Development Manager before being promoted to Head of Account Management with a broad range of FMCG clients like Cadbury.

“Jo’s experience of managing accounts in the branded packaging sector will be a really asset to us at a time when we are seeing significant growth even in the economic downturn”, says Guy Douglass, Managing Director at flb.

The appointment underlines flb’s continued development – already in 2009 it has added structural design capability to the business through a partnership with specialist agency Square Banana.  In 2008 the agency went through an MBO with Guy Douglass and Creative Director Colin Mechan taking full ownership of the business.
