FLB, the Cheltenham-based branding and packaging agency, has added structural design to its offering through a new relationship with specialist agency Square Banana.

Square Banana has relocated its operation into the offices of FLB, under the leadership of founder Russell Beard.

The two agencies will continue to operate independently, with their own client-base, but will actively seek opportunities together where clients are looking for both graphic and structural solutions for their brands.

“ There is a natural fit between graphic and structural design, so we are excited about the opportunities that will arise by having a close association with Square Banana. We look forward to the inevitable synergies that come about when two like-minded businesses are in such close proximity”, says Guy Douglass, Managing Director of FLB.

Square Banana, has a strong list of blue-chip clients including, Npower, Kohler Mira, Unilever, Boots Healthcare International (now Reckitt Benckiser) and SSL (Durex).   The consultancy was established in 2005 by Russell Beard who had previously worked at Kinneir Dufort, Seymourpowell and D+I in Australia.

Russell says, “Our two specialist skill sets and complementary clients mean that we are well placed to work together and provide clients with a complete packaging solution.  In terms of philosophy, and approach, both companies are very similar, so it seems an excellent match.  We believe clients will think that too.”
